At the Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, of Hugh Curtiss Asselstine of Alberton and formerly of Toronto, Ont., age 81 years. Dad to Kelly (Shane) Gillis of Alberton; Curtiss of Gravenhurst, Ont; Craig of Nanimo, B.C.; and Carrie (Stan) Flegel of Conquest, Sk. Grandfather to Laura Gillis, Emily and Logan Flegel.

Thank you to all who gave him sweets, cigars, coffees, articles of clothing, treated him to a meal, or other acts of kindness. He was always amazed that people would wave at him "For no reason at all". Thank you to the wonderfull staff at Maplewood Manor.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visiting hours or funeral by personal request. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
