Suddenly, but peacefully, at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, of Delia Mary Gallant of Piusville, P.E.I., age 80 years. Born at Piusville on September 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Ida (nee Arsenault) Gallant. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. Gallant, who predeceased her on June 29, 2013. Lovingly remembered by her children: Barry (Beverley), Blair (Judy), and Cynthia. Loving grandmother to Kora Lee and Ashley, Kristen and Shawna. Special grandson Skyler, and special Meme to Savanna and Sami Jo Sentner. Dear sister to: Rev. Lawrence Gallant of Montreal; Peter (Aldona) Gallant of Piusville; Frank (JoAnne) Gallant of Toronto; Elmer (Florence) Gallant of Saint John, N.B.; Theresa (Oscar) Gallant of Piusville; Palma Allan of Piusville; Shirley (Norman) Myers of Toronto; and Marina Barclay of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-laws: Leona Gallant of Alberton; Edna Gallant of Summerside; Ben Gallant of Summerside; and Mary Gallant of Piusville. She was predeceased by her son Wayde in 2000, her brother Clarence, and by brother and sister-in-laws, Ron Allan, Wayne Barclay, Joseph (Emily), Paul, Alyre (Rita), Larry (Rose),  Everett, Henry (Louise), Edward (Evelyn) and Lois.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday morning April 11, 2014, from St. Anthony's  Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, P.E.I., for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Lawrence Gallant, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society of to St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated. St. Anthony's Council of the CWL will hold a prayer service for their departed member at the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m.
