Suddenly at the QE11 Health Science Centre, Halifax, NS, on  Sunday, April 14, 2013, of Jean Julia O'Brien of 203 Poplar Street Alberton, and formerly of Elmsdale, PEI age 82 years young. Beloved wife of the late Gerald O'Brien who prdeceased her in 1974.   Born at St. Louis, PEI on March 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Frank D. and Myra Ann (nee O'Brien) Callaghan. Loving mother to Myra (Douglas) Ramsay of Brooklyn; Erin (Loman) Murphy of Campbellton; Judy (Blair) Hansen of Charlottetown; Mary Jean Lidstone (Lonnie ) of Alberton;  Larry (Dana) of Elmsdale. Dear sister to Joe (Barbara) Callaghan of Union. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Gary, Matthew, Kirk, and Julia Ramsay, Krista, Karla,and Luke Murphy, Hilary Hansen, Jenna and Katelyn Lidstone & Cameron Gallant. She is also survivied by several nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a son Gary in 1974 and by brothers Bill and Jimmy Callaghan.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Thursday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Chris Sherren, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. If so desired memorials in Jeans Memory may be made to the Western Hospital Equipment Fund or to the Elmsdale Community Club would be gratefully appreciated.The Sacred Heart Council of the C.W.L will hold prayers for their departed member at the Funeral Home Wednesday at 5;45 p.m.
