The death occurred peacefully, at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, July 25, 2020, with her loving family by her side, of Carol Anne Smith of Alberton, age 76 years. Loving mother to James Harold Smith. Born at Alberton on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Vera Mae (nee Ramsay) Smith.

Dear sister to Terry (late Connie) Smith of Inverness, Brenda (Tony) Buckner of Port Hope, ON, David Smith of Alberton and Janice (late Val) Piwtoratsky of Kensington. Special aunt to Colten and Colby. She is also survived by an uncle, Bill (Joan) Ramsay of Halifax and aunt, Lucy (late Arthur) Enman of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and by her friends, especially Shirley Phillips, Mary Graham, Twinkle Haslam and Diane Smith.

She was predeceased by sisters, Wanda (late Earl) Connelly and Nancy (late Harold) Culleton, and three siblings in infancy, Darlene, Blair and Benny.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, from where private family visitation for family and invited guests on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday morning from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Cathy Pharo officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery.
