The death occurred peacefully at the palliative care unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday July 9,2019 with her family by her side, of Mary Kathleen "Kay" Barbour of Alma, and formerly of Montrose, age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Barbour, who predeceased her in 2001. Born at Fortune Cove, PEI on October 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Russell Ernest and Mary Bell (nee Forsyth) Lockerby.

Loving mother to Carl Barbour of Alma, Kevin Barbour of Summerside and Douglas Barbour, who predeceased her in 2010. Dear sister to John "Jack" Lockerby and his wife Jan of Mississauga, Ont. Dear aunt to Christina Lockerby of Toronto, Ont. and Stephanie (Craig) Tweedy of Oakville, Ont. Great-grand-aunt to Sophia Tweedy. She will be sadly missed by her many cousins, friends and acquaintances.

She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Elfi Lockerby.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton, for visiting hours Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday morning from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Lynn McKinnon Pike officiating. Interment in the Montrose United Church Cemetery.
