The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, June 28, 2019, with her loving family by her side, of Anna Benedykta Iwankiewicz of Tignish, PEI, aged 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Frank J. Bernard, who predeceased her in 2010. Born at Seaford, ON, on February 21, 1949, she was the daughter of Mary (nee Felda) and the late Petro Iwankewycz.

Dear sister to Catherine Ladd (Lloyd deceased) of Nobleton, ON, Helen Grierson (Rory deceased) of Bolton, ON, Zenon (Silvana) Iwankewycz of Woodbridge, ON, Dora Petracca (deceased) Pat of Everett, ON, and Irene (Jeff) Christian of Bolton, ON. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Sheila Bernard of Tignish, Eugene and Anne Bernard of Christophers Cross, Hazel and Ed Domaracki of Alberton, and Darlene Perry of Summerside. Anna will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and aquaintances.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Terry Bernard.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Monday morning, July 1st from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
