The death occurred at the palliative care unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, May 12, 2019, with his loving family by his side, of Eldon Emmerson Hardy of Fortune Cove, PEI, age 82 years. Beloved husband to Cora Anna (nee Coughlin) Hardy. Born at Elmsdale PEI, on April 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Emmerson Arthur and Hazel Olga (nee MacAusland) Hardy.

Cherished father to Pamela (Wayne) Gamester of Calgary and Gary Hardy of Charlottetown. Loving grandfather to Chelsa and Emily Gamester of Calgary. Dear brother to Vernon Lorne Hardy of Elmsdale, Christina Isabelle Hardy of Toronto and Dorothy Hilda Gray of Lindsay, Ontario. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law from the Coughlin family, as well as his many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by siblings, Allison Fraser (Bud) Hardy, Muriel Erma Griffiths, Cleve Allan Hardy, Catherine Nadine Spottiswood, Mabel Lois Shea, Frederick Melvin Hardy and Elizabeth Ardell MacDonald.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, Alberton, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Lynn McKinnon-Pike officiating.

Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery Alberton. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Western Hospital or to Hillcrest Cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciated.
