The death occurred suddenly at Freetown, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, of Lawrence Joseph Chaisson, beloved husband to Pauline Alexandra (nee Laughlin) Chaisson of Nail Pond, PEI, age 64 years. Born at Alberton on December 11, 1954, he was the son of the late Eutrope and Olive (nee Perry) Chaisson.

Dear father to Nicole (Cory) Yeo of O'Leary, Vicky Chaisson (Brody Bridges) of Inverness, Cindy Chaisson (Josh Mann) of Grand Prairie, AB, and stepson Greg (Kalin) MacDonald of Calgary. Cherished grandfather to Crystal, Autumn, Grayson and Easton Yeo, Rianne Gavin and Dimitri Mann. Dear brother to Roger (Ruth) Chaisson of Tignish, Nelson (Marie) Chaisson of Nail Pond, and Eunice (LeRoy) Gaudet of Pleasant View. He is also survived by brother and sisters-in-law, Ronald Perry of Alberton, Diane (Kevin) Griffin of Stratford, Sharon (Vernon) Harris of Summerside, Kathy Laughlin of Summerside, Joe (Sheila) Laughlin of Summerside, Kevin Laughlin (Jackie Waddell) of Riverdale, PEI, David Laughlin (JoAnne Green) of Shad Bay, NS, and Barb (Kevin) McDonald of Kensington. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by a sister Deloris Perry, brother Jerome Chaisson and a brother-in-law Gerry Laughlin.

Lawrence was a great lover of music and enjoyed playing his Fiddle on occasions for family and friends.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visiting hours Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., Rev. John Molina, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
