The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, May 5, 2019, with his loving family by his side, of John Joseph Handrahan of Ascension in his 68th year, following a brief illness. Born May 31, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Phyllis (nee Gallant) Handrahan of Ascension, P.E.I.

Dear brother to Clifford of Tignish, Freda (Terry) of Tignish, Betty (Leo) of Ascension, James (Christine) of Summerside, Cathy (Peter) of Palmer Road, Frances of Ascension, Jean (Junior) of Anglo Tignish, Mae (Ray) of Calgary, Claude of Tignish, Sharon of Tignish, and Shirley (Joey) of Tyne Valley. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visiting hours Wednesday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Thursday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, for funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
