The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, October 7, 2018, of Margaret Adeline (Metherall) Murphy, beloved wife of the late Daniel Kenneth Murphy, age 95 years. Born in Mill River on June 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Webster and Annie (Woodman) Metherall.

Loving mother to Betty (late Donnie) Blanchard (deceased 2001) of Charlottetown, Annabelle (Franklyn) Fraser of Alberton, Kenneth (Cathy) of Kitchener, BC, Tom (Susan) of Alberton, Dean (Rayona) of Brooklyn, Marion (Jeff) Banks of Wolfville, NS, Chris (Donna Cahill-LeClair) of Alberton and JoAnne (James) O'Halloran. Cherished grandmother to Sandra (Stephen), Jennifer (late Bill), Renee (Mike), DJ (Rosalie), Lorie, Mitchell (Becky), Becky (Kathleen), Tammy (Jodie), Jamie, late Adam, Isla (Derek), Leanne (Mark), Michelle (Mike), Alexis, Danielle (Eddie), Colby, Lauren (Josh), James (Jill), and Christopher. She is also sadly missed by her 13 great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and her many friends and acquaintances.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Lillian and Katherine, her daughter Betty Blanchard, and her grandson Adam Murphy. 

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, PEI, for visiting hours Monday, October 8th, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, on Tuesday morning, October 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Alberton.
