At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, August 26, 2018, with his loving family by his side, of Donald Edward Gavin, beloved husband to Edith Mary (nee Gallant) Gavin, of Anglo-Tignish, age 73 years. Born at Nail Pond, P.E.I., on August 5, 1945, he was the son of the late Edward and Viola (nee Hackett) Gavin.

Loving father to Marvin (Tammy) of Anglo-Tignish, Tracy (Daniel) of Tignish, Cindy (Randy) of Myrick Shore and Donna (Gerry) of Anglo-Tignish. Cherished grandfather to Samantha, Andrea, Marley, Steven, Brayden, Gracy, Breanna and Baylee. Great-grandfather to Lincoln and Asher. Dear brother to Lorne (Linda) of Tignish, Elaine (late Tommy) Perry of Tignish, Lorraine (Norman) Pitre of Tignish, and Debbie (Lynsin) Stuckless of Rockwood, Ont. He will be sadly missed by is many friends, family members, brothers and sisters-in-laws, and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Roberts and by a brother, Glenn.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m, and on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of departure. Funeral Wednesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., Rev. John Molina, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
