Darrell passed away suddenly at a nursing home in Fort MacLeod, Alberta on August 2, 2018 at the age of 72. He was born on December 8, 1946 to the late Elmer and Pearl Costain.

He was the father of Pamela of Ottawa, Farrell of Ottawa, Stacey (Paula) of Charlottetown, Conrad (Rachel) of Moncton and Kelly of Moncton, Sabrina (Dean) Young of Orangeville, Ont. He is survived by six grandkids and one great grand-daughter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was a brother to Goldie Brennan, Hedley (Marcella) Costain, Lucina Costain (Joe Hogan), Brenda (Bill) Wedge, Gary (Bernice) Costain and Darris Costain.

He was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Jarvis, Emmerson, Everett, Tom, Major, Neldar, Vernon, Aletha and Velda. 

As per request, there will be no visitation or service.A graveside service  for family and friends will be held at the Miminegash United Church Cemetery on Tuesday October 30,2018 at 2;00 p.m. Rev.Ross Morrison officiating.wwwrooneyfh.ca.
