It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of David Archibald (Archie) Dunbar at his home in Montrose on Thursday, August 2, 2018, in his 76th year. Dear husband of Judith Carol (Judy) (nee Campbell) Dunbar. Born on June 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Pearl (nee Collicutt) Dunbar.

Loving father to Rick, Christopher (Carrie Ann), Cora Lee, Robbie (Kimberly) and Timothy (Kim). Cherished grandfather to Jacob Dunbar, Laurel, Macey, Jordyn and Benjamin Dunbar, Cody and Keira Rogers, Mallory and Anika Dunbar, and Rowen and Ryian Dunbar. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Jessie (Leslie) Hardy of Alberton and Emma (Ed) Spenchuck of Windsor, Ontario. Also sadly missed by sisters-in-law, Sandy Dunbar of Huntley, Muriel Dunbar of Alberton, and Kay Dunbar of Vancouver, BC, and by brother-in-law, Jake Fortier.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Timothy Edward Dunbar, as well as brothers and sisters, George, Lorne, Eric, Fred, Thirza (late Glen) Matthews, Martha (late Alton) Gordon, Vera (late Willy) Robinson, Mae (late Lorne) Yeo, Ena (late Gordon) Carr, Mona (late David) Lockhart and Bertha Fortier. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and acquaintances.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and  7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel for funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery.
