The death occurred peacefully at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, of Bernice Julia Griffin of Alberton, age 96 years. Born at Brockton, P.E.I. on May 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (nee O'Halloran) Griffin.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Norma Griffin of Alberton, and by her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Basil Griffin and by a sister Lillian (late Howard) O'Halloran.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home &  Chapel, Alberton. No visiting hours by personal request. Funeral Friday morning, May 18, 2018, from St. Mark’s Church, Burton, Lot.7, for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment in St. Mark’s Cemetery.
