The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, with her loving family by her side, of Thelma Mary McInnis, beloved wife of the late Alfred T. McInnis of Tignish, age 84 years. Born at Peter Road on March 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (nee Gaudet) LeClair.

Lovingly remembered by her children, Darlene Gaudet (Joey Hustler) of Tignish, John (Carmen) of Tignish, Bernard (Violet) of Long Creek, Janet (Vincent) Shea of Tignish, Paulette (Vincent) Pitre of Riverdale, Michael (Connie) of Tignish, Elaine (Terry) Gaudet of Tignish, James of Hinton, Alberta, Ronnie (Lisa) of Kamloops, B.C., Keith (Lorna) of Tignish, and Louanne (Kenneth) Perry of Tignish. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Sonya, Sabrina, Skylar, Tracey, Craig, Chris, Jenna, Todd, Daisy, Amie, Valene, Riley, Katie, Rory, Jayden, Travis, Tyson, Marcy, Jackson, Alfred Jack, Rachael, Jeremy, Marshall, Natanya, April, Noah and Kenny. She is also survived by her 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Dear sister to Roy (Judy) LeClair of Tignish, Gerry (Blanche) LeClair of Sydney, N.S., and Ann Marie Harredan of Atlanta, Georgia. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Louise LeClair and Gloria LeClair of Tignish.

She was predeceased by siblings, Alyre, Yvonne Rennie, Earl, Rita, Loretta and Aubin, and by grandchildren, Jody, Gina, Chad and Brayden, and by brother-in-law, Raymer Rennie.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. No public visitation on Saturday. Funeral Saturday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 3:00 pm., Rev. Brendon E. Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Restoration Fund would be gratefully appreciated.

The Tignish Council of the C.W.L. will hold prayers for their departed member Friday evening at 6:45 p.m.
