Reg Mills died peacefully at home in Tignish,
PEI, on Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was the husband of Susan (Gray)
Mills and father to Laura Mills (Sheldon Clohossey). Reg was a
devoted, supportive husband and exceptional father, loved by all for
his kindness and love. While he faced a lot in his life, including
abuse while a child in foster care, he always chose to keep going, to
be himself, and to make the life he wanted. He worked long, hard hours
to provide for his family, and supported Laura in all her endeavours,
becoming her very best friend. His generosity was boundless: he
offered a helping hand to those in need, providing money, a meal, or
just a caring ear. Music was Reg’s passion: he loved to sing
and move people with song and share his gift with the world. He would
often dress up as Red Skelton’s Freddie the Freeloader
character, singing and bringing smiles and laughter to people in
Markham, Ontario and Tignish, PEI. Throughout his illness and up to
his death, he said, "I’ve had a beautiful life. What a
beautiful life."
