At the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Friday, March 2, 2018,
of Antoinette Marie (nee Chaisson) Remington, formerly of Tignish, age
79 years. Born at Tignish, on March 22, 1939, she was the daughter of
the late Joseph John and Yvonne Marie (nee Dionne)
Chaisson.
Antoinette worked for many years as a waitress, at gardening,
and was very proud of her carpentry skills.
Dear mother to Terry (Betty Lou) Remington of Upper Coverdale
N.B., and Charlene (Terry) Nichols of Saint John, N.B. Loving
grandmother to Matthew, Justin, Cody and Lori Ann. Great-grandmother
to Jackson and Evelyn. She is survived by her sisters, Emilda
Chaisson and Catherine Peters, brother, Lawrence (Stella) Buote, and
by her nieces, nephews and acquaintances. Special aunt to
Vincent and Rosalea Doucette, who visited her often, and made her life
much happier.
She was predeceased by siblings Alfred, Theophile, Romeo,
Omer, Anita and Yvette Doucette.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel,
Alberton. No visitation by request. Funeral Tuesday morning March 6,
2018, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for
funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant,
Celebrant.
Interment later in the Church Cemetery. As an expression of
sympathy, memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund or to the
Maplewood Manor Equipment Fund would be gratefully
appreciated.
