The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Saturday, August 12, 2017, of Everett James Arsenault, of Alberton, age 86 years. Born at Howlan, PEI, on July 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph Thomas and Mary Florence (nee Phillips) Arsenault.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Marion (Molley) (nee MacNeill) Arsenault, in 1982, and by his second wife Carmel Rose (nee Gallant) Arsenault, in 2016.

Dear father to Ronnie Arsenault, of Alberton, and step-father to Bonita Clark (David), of Cascumpec, Harold Arsenault, of Halifax, Howard Arsenault of Duvar, Karen MacWilliams, of Dartmouth, N.S., Eric Arsenault (Danielle), of Fall River, Brenda McCullough (Art), of Grande Prairie, Russell Arsenault (Sandra), of Oromocto, Michael Arsenault (Nancy), of O'Leary, and Nora Lee Gavin (Cory), of Cornwall. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Bernice Arsenault, of St. Louis, brothers, Howard (Rennie) of Burlington, Oscar (Sue) of Alberton, and by sister-in-law, Zena Arsenault, of Duvar, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son Donald, and by siblings, Gerald, Harold, Albert, Arnold and Velma Gallant.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
