Born on February 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Edward and Rosetta Winnifred (nee Aylward) McKenna. Dear mother to Norma Costain (Richard Kelly) of Kensington, Rodney of Cambridge, Ont., Saul of St. Peters Bay, Barry of St. Peters Bay, Sandra (Donald) Gillis-Dingwall of Cambridge, Ont., and Judy (Roberto) Casale of Glen Morris, Ont.
Loving grandmother to Amanda (Andy) Gaudet of Summerside, Jessica (Scott) Gordon of Northport, Kyle (Jane) Costain of Elmsdale, Michael Gillis of Kitchener, Ont., Matthew Gillis of Waterloo, Ont., Gregory Casale of Hamilton, Ont., and Robby Casale of Cambridge, Ont. Great-grandmother to Brandon Gaudet, Skyler Rayner, Carson Dunbar, Tasia Gaudet, Anthony Casale, Ariana Casale, Payton Gillis and Avery Gillis.
Dear sister to Carol McKenna of Charlottetown, Leonard McKenna of Charlottetown, Roy (Helen) McKenna of St. Louis, Barbara Poirier of Summerside, Grace Walsh of Charlottetown, and Lloyd McKenna of Rumford, Maine. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Joyce McKenna of Rumford, Maine, Irene McKenna of B.C., and Thelma McKenna of Maine. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Rosetta Gallant, Harold, Gerald, Edward, Earl, Claude and Willard.
She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Katie Lynn Marie Gillis, and by brother and sister-in-laws, Shirley McKenna, Debbie McKenna, Ati McKenna, Mae McKenna, Joseph Poirier, Wendell McKenna, Robert Walsh and George Gallant.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 9:00 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery.
