The death occurred at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Friday December 23, 2016, of Dale Patrick Murphy, of Charlottetown, age 71 years. Born at Campbellton, PEI, on October 3, 1945, he was the son of the late Gerald and Monica (Necy) (nee Kelly) Murphy.

Dear father to Jodie (Brad) Whitehead of Charlottetown; Adam (Julie) Murphy of Oromocto, N.B; and Scott (Becky) Murphy of Longcreek. Grandfather to Hunter Pierce, Adalyn Murphy, Ruby Murphy, Parker Murphy and Tucker Murphy.

He is survived by siblings, Dwayne (Germaine) Murphy of Campbellton; Loman (Erin) Murphy of Campbellton; Geraldine Stewart of West Point, Wanda (Jim) Pitcher of Victoria, BC; Claudette Searle of Ottawa, ON, Grant Murphy of Campbellton, Hazen Murphy of NL, Laura Murphy of Halifax, NS; Colleen Graham of Red Deer, AB. and Floyd Murphy of Campbellton.

He was predeceased by his parents, Monica and Gerald Murphy, his sister Marilyn Budgell, as well as brother-in-law, John Stewart.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours on Wednesday, December 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral on Thursday, December 29th from St. Mark's Church, Burton, Lot 7, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment in the Church cemetery.
