At the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Sunday, November 6, 2016, with his loving family by his side, of Seymour Joseph DesRoches, of St. Felix, aged 61 years. Born at Alberton on May 31, 1955, he was the son of the late Collins and Eva (nee DesRoches) DesRoches.

Devoted and beloved husband to Shirley (nee Pitre) DesRoches. Loving father to Sharon (Ronnie) Shea of Charlottetown. Cherished grandfather to Jordyn Shea. Dear brother to Irving (Linda) DesRoches of St. Louis; Nelson (Judy) DesRoches of St. Felix; Betty (Sterling) Stevenson, Wanda (Winston) Stevenson of Charlottetown. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Bertha (Dennis) Pitre of St. Felix; Emily (Vernon) Chowen of Charlottetown; Theresa Pitre (Maurice Martin) of Charlottetown; Oswald Pitre of Alberton; Angela DesRoches of St.Felix; Emile (Helene) Pitre of Tignish Shore; Joseph Pitre of Charlottetown; Frances (Nicole) Pitre of St. Felix; Barb (Dale) Gaudette of St. Felix; Doreen Pitre of Charlottetown. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law, Jerry and Mary (Perry), and by brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Cecil Pitre.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
