Peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, with her loving family by her side, of Doris Mary Pitre, age 84 years, beloved wife of the late Joseph Pitre, formerly of Tignish Shore.  

Born at St. Peter and St. Paul, November 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ermine (nee Gallant) LeClair. Lovingly remembered by her children, Albert (Emelda), of St. Felix, Florence (Clarence) Gallant, of Cornwall, Louis (Lorraine), of Cornwall, Vincent (Paulette), of Elmwood, Paul (Nancy), of Kildare Capes, Anita (Leo) MacDonald, of Hampshire, Ida (Bernie) Kenna, of Charlottetown, Thelma (Bobby) Meney, of Bunbury, and Jean (Scott) Sinclair, of Kingston. She will be sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  

Dear sister to Alphonse (Irene), of St. Peter & St. Paul, Viola (late Eldon Gallant), of St. Peter & St. Paul, Beatrice (late Raymond) Martin of St. Roch, Stella (Frederick) Allain, of Palmer Road, Alice (late Francis) Allain, of Palmer Road, and Mary (late Alyre) Richard, of St Peter and St. Paul. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Linda LeClair, of St. Roch, Esther, of St. Felix and Julia LeClair, of Huntley. She was predeceased by daughter, Phyllis, and by brothers, Gerry, Arthur and Joe.  

Resting at the the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9.  Funeral Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.,  Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the Church cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the IWK Children's Hospital or the Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.

The St. Felix Council of the CWL will hold a prayer service for their departed member Friday evening at 6:45 p.m.
