Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western
Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, June 12, 2016, of Edward Joseph
LeClair, of Tignish, age 86 years. Beloved husband to Annie Mae (nee
Doucette) LeClair. Born at Skinners Pond, P.E.I., on July 26,
1929, he was the son of the late Timothy and Emma (nee Doucette)
LeClair.
Loving father to Joanne (Tommy) Perry of Tignish; Tim (JoAnn)
LeClair of Toronto; Norman (Vera) Bernard of Kildare
Capes. Cherished grandfather to Jenny Perry, Madeleine
LeClair, Matthew LeClair, Nora Lee (Bernard) Harper and Scott Bernard.
He is also survived by five great-grandsons.
Dear brother to Theresa Martin, of Tignish, and Viola
MacAuley, of Charlottetown. He is also survived by a sister-in-law,
Dorothy Doucette, of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his many
nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Lorry Ann, in 1975, and
by siblings, Adrian, Claude, Melvin, Wilfred, Margaret,
Emilda, Susan, Henry, and Edward, and Paul in infancy.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours
Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until
time of funeral. Funeral Wednesday afternoon from St. Simon and St.
Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon
Gallant, Celebrant. Interment in the Church
cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Western
Hospital, or to the P.E.I. Lung Association would be gratefully
appreciated.
