The death occurred peacefully, with her family by her side, at her daughter Bonita's home in Cascumpec, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, of Carmel Rose Arsenault. Carmel was born in Brockton, PEI, on July14, 1940 to her late parents William and Rose Gallant. Wife to Everett Arsenault, predeceased by her first husband Harold Arsenault, infant daughter Sandra, and infant brother, Nelson.

Loving mother of Bonita Clark (David), of Cascumpec; Harold, of Halifax; Howard (Helen, deceased), of Duvar; Karen MacWilliams (Norman, deceased), of Halifax; Eric (Danielle), of Fall River; Brenda McCullough (Arthur), of Grande Prairie; Russell (Sandra), of Fredericton; Michael (Nancy), of O'Leary; and Noralee Gavin (Cory), of Cornwall. Stepmother to Donnie (deceased), Bernice, of St. Louis, and Ronnie, of Alberton. Beloved grandmother and aunt to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Loving sister to Joyce (deceased), Ronnie (deceased), Donna, of Howlan, Stanley, of Cascumpec, Marilyn Clements (Roger) of Brockton, Brian (Colleen), of O'Leary, Dale, of Summerside, Tony (Judy), of Brockton, and sister-in-law, Connie Gallant, of Cascumpec. Sister-in-law to Gerald and Gladys Arsenault (deceased), Albert and Norma Arsenault (deceased), Albert and Velma Gallant (deceased), Arnold (deceased), Zena Arsenault, Howard and Rennie Arsenault, and Oscar and Susan Arsenault.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Woodstock.
