Peacefully, at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Monday,
February 1, 2016, of Florence Catherine Adams, beloved wife of the
late James C. Adams, of Alberton, and formerly of Elmsdale, age 103
years. Born at Elmsdale on October 3, 1912, she was the daughter of
the late Charles and Annie (nee Smith) Barnett.
Dear mother of Lawson (Florence), of Alberton, Ronnie
(Madonna), of Angus, Ontario, Audrey Gavin, of Goderich, Ontario, and
Barbara Misener (Winston), of Stanhope. She is survived by 14
grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 4
step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by a sister Lila (Russell) Laughlin, of Summerside,
daughter-in-law, Norma Adams, of Alberton, and sisters-in-law, Mabel
Barnett, of Summerside, and Margaret Adams of Elmsdale. She is also
survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, James, son Roy,
great-grandson, Jason, sons-in-law, Erskine Gavin and Linus Misener,
and by siblings, Ralph Barnett, Hilton Barnett, William Barnett,
Gladys Kinch, Dorothy Adams, Mae Matthews and Ida
Wells.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours
Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday from
the Elmsdale United Church, for funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment
later in the Church cemetery.
