Went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, January
24, 2016, Betty Phyllis Rayner, of the Maplewood Manor and formerly of
Central Kildare, age 78 years. Beloved wife of James L. Rayner. Born
at Greenmount, P.E.I., on March 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the
late Charles Cannon and Jean Catherine (nee Winters)
Rayner.
Loving mother to Lee (Heather) Rayner of Central Kildare;
Katherine (Dwight) Berry of Elmsdale; Carol (Dwayne) Steeves of Corner
Brook, NFLD; Doreen (Jeffery) Lewis of Elmsdale; Gordon (Heather)
Rayner of Montrose; Wendell (Lisa) Rayner of Central Kildare; Brenda
(Charles) Edgar of Salisbury, N.B.; Barbara (Gerald) Douthwright of
Salisbury, N.B.; and James (Nicole) Rayner of Central
Kildare.
She will be sadly missed by her 29 grandchildren, and by her
30 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister to: Ferne Gregorie of Ontario; Velma Francis of
Charlottetown; Faye Rayner of Summerside; Irene Boudreau of Ontario;
Marjorie Tinnin of Arizona; Ollie (Allan) Rogers of Calgary; Linda
Rayner (Michael Perron) of the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Paul (Celine)
Rayner of Calgary.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Douglas
Horne of Alberton; Marilyn Rayner of Calgary; Marsha Rayner of
Summerside; and Carlyle Rayner of Central Kildare.
She was predeceased by grandchildren, Randy Edgar and Aaron
Rayner, great-granddaughter, Deanna Lewis, and by siblings, Alida
Horne, Robert Rayner and Wayne Rayner.
Forwarded from the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, to the
Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Alberton, for visiting hours Tuesday
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., with
Pastor Greg Bellew officiating and Pastor Jeff Hanscom assisting.
Interment to follow in the Pentecostal Cemetery,
Brooklyn.
