Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Friday, December 4, 2015, with her loving family by her side, of Mae Mary Gallant, beloved wife of the late Gerald Gallant of Tignish Shore, age 90 years. Born at Tignish Shore on August 24,  1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia (nee Doucette) Pitre.

Lovingly remembered by her children, Russell (Aurella) Gallant of Tignish, Victor  (Robin) of Toronto, Clarence (Mary) of Broderick Road, Austie (Valerie) of Alberton, Aldona (Blair) Rayner of Greenmount, Stephen (Nadine) of Harper Road, John Wayne  (Blanche) of Summerside, Helen (Wyatt) Jeffery of Broderick Road, Irma (Ronnie) McRae of Tignish Shore, and Leslie (Linda) of Tignish Shore.

She will be sadly missed by her 32 grandchildren, her 34 great-grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, nine step-great-grandsons, and by 14 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Hector (Annie) Pitre of Tignish Shore, and by a sister, Theresa Carr of Tignish.

She was predeceased by children, Brenda, Norman and Phillip, grandsons, Allison Gallant and Clarence Gallant, son-in-law, Sidney Getson, and by brothers, Ralph, Gussie and Joseph.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant.

Interment in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, would be gratefully appreciated.
